To those who are concerned: The Feud will not be covering the recent Cam’ron and Jay-Z debacle.
1. It’s moronic.

According to the Houston Chronicle and the Associated Press Andre “Mac Minister” Dow has been arrested. Indicted on two counts murder and two counts conspiracy McMin did the amateur thing and ran to California. Why do they always run to California? Big states = lots of cops. Next time go to Mexico and keep going south until you’re in a country that doesn’t touch America.
From the AP:
Authorities said they were investigating whether the killings were part of a feud between Midwest and West Coast rappers and whether it was linked with the November 2004 drive-by slaying in Kansas City of California rapper Andre “Mac Dre” Hicks, 34. Watkins was considered a person of interest but was never called a suspect in Hicks’ slaying. And from The Chron:
Another man, Jason Mathis, 26, an aspiring rap promoter, also has been charged in the slayings. He was arrested July 12, has pleaded not guilty and is being held at Clark County jail in Las Vegas awaiting trial.Mathis owned the AK-47 used in the slayings, according to police. He also was accused of being a pimp for Lee Danae Laursen, a former Utah resident who was seen leaving the cul-de-sac after the shooting. Laursen, 21, was shot to death Nov. 4 in California and police have identified Dow as a suspect.
Not only do the cops have evidence to convict, but they can prove that this is Murder One. Topping off the entire routine was the fact that the MacMin bragged about his alleged crimes.:
Ballerstatus says:
The SF Chronicle also reports that in Mathis’ arrest warrant, he admitted to a friend that he had shot Watkins and Akins to avenge the November 2004 shooting death of Vallejo rapper Andre “Mac Dre” Hicks in Kansas City.
Hicks and Watson were in their mid-30’s; they knew what they were doing. The two midwest boys that were gunned down weren’t even 25 yet. Laursen was 21. TWENTY-ONE. Look, these might have been rough kids that may have caused a lot of trouble, but is no one outraged by this? Is there no moral indignation that four people are dead over pointless beef and worthless rep?

I know that this isn’t exactly the hottest news, but I just saw it. MC Hammer has released a new video for his song “Look,” and it’s pretty choke-tastic. What do you expect from a record company whose webpage is this bad? (Answer: Not much)
C’mon man, stick to preachin’ and leave the dancin’ to the younger kids. You wanna make some money? Do a country western album, and make it kitchy. Every record collector in the country would buy the sucker just to make fun of it.
To be honest, I’m just picking on him because he’s an easy target. I’d like to hear him preach some day. Click below to see the video.

Now, I’m no stranger to driving a Mercedes at 100 miles an hour in a 65 zone. But, when doing so I make sure that the tires are aired up, the brakes are tight, and that the lights all work. I also make sure that myself and all passengers are wearing seat belts.
DMX’s wife got clocked at 106 in a 65. She managed to beat her husband’s record by two mph.
From 1010 and All Hip Hop:
State Police say 34-year-old Tashera Simmons was stopped early Sunday in a 2000 Mercedes-Benz traveling north on I-684 early Sunday morning in a 65-mph zone with four children who were not wearing seat belts.
She was charged with speeding, driving an uninspected vehicle and not using child restraints.
News outlets are reporting the car as either uninspected or unregistered, but as most states require the inspection before registration it could be both.
Now, if Mrs. Simmons is a good driver then I have no problem with her balling that jack at a bill an hour, but it’s fairly obvious that she has no concept of thinking of anyone but herself.
She willfully put her children in the way of danger. We’re talking about something worse than when Michael Jackson held his baby off of the balcony. Even a minor collision at that speed could have put all four of her babies through the windshield.
Public reaction can best be summed up by the first few reader comments on Sixshot’s story coverage (bottom of the page). I thought that smokeygreytint7 was going to pull some rightous indignation out of his hat, but he fumbled it at the last minute. To quote:

The State of New York needs to throw the entire book at Mrs. Simmons, and I’d hit her with child endangerment as well. Except that would mean that the children would only be living with their father.
As we all know, Jay-Z and Nas are now best friends and their MTV argument has finally been laid to rest. In fact, just to show that there’s no hard feelings Jay-Z will be sponsoring a Def Jam imprint for Nas named “Jones Experience.” Now, what proof is there that it’s more fake than pro wrestling? This lovely quote from Nas’s agent:
Taken from Eurweb:
“Hip-hop needed this,” says Mark Pitts, who, along with his management partner Wayne Barrow, brokered a pre-truce meeting between their client Nas and Jay-Z last fall. Barrow tells Billboard that the truce between the rappers will hopefully bring a “different sensibility to hip-hop and take it back to the origin of what a beef is. Battling over lyrical prowess is one thing, but to turn it into a violent scenario is another. Kids are mimicking these situations as if they’re real.“
Emphasis mine. There we are, a beautiful quote straight from the manager’s mouth. This is why I have such a hard time respecting constantly in the spotlight celebrities. You’re fake and we all know it; just be honest with the public and they’ll embrace you.
Kanye West is all over the news these days. The latest bit of comedy is where Kanye’s father tells the world that his son is just pretending to be a tough guy from the streets.
From Ireland Online:
Rapper Kanye West’s sociology professor father is urging his son to stop degrading African-Americans in his songs.“Fine, you’re trying to get some street acceptance. Now that you got that, get back to your roots. You know that’s not where you came from. You know that’s not how you were raised.”
Pretty funny stuff when you realize that not only is his father very well educated, but he used to be a Black Panther. I’d actually like to see the two West men go head to head in a boxing ring. Something tells me that Ray would mop the floor with his whiney little son.
After reading all available coverage on this story I still can’t quite figure out what happened. Apparently Cassidy’s crew and his friend Desmond’s boys were having a disagreement. Like any sane person, Cassidy hides some guns in the alley behind his house in case there’s trouble. Other people might call this “setting up a premeditated ambush,” but apparently the jury saw it differently.
Desmond came over to patch things up, someone started shooting, and Desmond died. As Cassidy didn’t pull the trigger he avoided the Murder 1 charge that he deserved, and wound up with Involuntary Manslaughter for providing the guns to the shooters. With time served he’ll be out of prison in six months.

The current winner of the “Dumbest thing all year” award may just be the judge in this case. To quote his honor Judge Greenspan:
“All those guns - that’s why Desmond is gone now, because of all those guns.”
Because of the guns? I’d be more apt to blame it on spoiled celebrities.
I haven’t been a Kanye West fan since before the telethon fiasco, but I want to know what long term benefit he hopes to get from being an insulting jerk. Everytime he makes the news I want to smack him with a baseball bat.
From the newswires posted on Breitbart via Fark:
Kanye West, with a crown of thorns atop his head, poses as Jesus Christ on the cover of the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone.
“My misery is your pleasure.”
West also says his hit song “Gold Digger” was the best song last year and that it should have been nominated for the Grammy’s best rap song category: “That’s a gimme Grammy.”
Grammy? That’s your pain and suffering? You didn’t win a Grammy? Maybe Kanye should get his momma to call the committe and explain how not winning that Grammy really hurt his self esteem. West did win for best rap album, so comparing that small loss to the suffering of The Christ tells me that he’s a self absorbed jerk with no empathy for anyone else.
By the way, you got whooped by John Mayer, sucka.
Biggie’s family is to get $1.3 million from Los Angeles because the courts decided that the police officers involved were hiding evidence to block the family’s wrongful death suit. The 1.3 million isn’t actually a profit for the family, it just goes to pay the legal expenses incurred from their original trial.
From: Rapper’s News Network
When U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper declared the mistrial in July she wrote “The detective, acting alone or in concert with others, made a decision to conceal from the plaintiffs in this case information which would have supported their contention that David Mack was responsible for the murder.“…
The late rappers family civil suit did not name Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, Mack, Perez or the alleged shooter, and none of them have ever been formally named suspects in the case or arrested in connection with the crime.
How is Suge Knight not a suspect? You can’t sneeze in LA without the cops knocking on Suge’s front door.
